Happy Anniversary To Wilma And Betty!

Wilma and Betty were created on Aug 23rd 2011 at Quatorze Bistro on East 79th Street.
At 1:51 we felt nothing.

Was it the Wine Or the Bedrock?

According to U.S.G.S. Geophysicist Julie Dutton  she said "A earthquake of this magnitude is rare for the East Coast but that the effects are felt widely in our region because quakes move more easily through the bedrock."

Oh well... It must have been the wine!

WINE Of The Day! Brotherhood Winery Dry Riesling

A Crisp, dry and racy with grapefruit and pear scents, this Riesling exhibits the ripe fruit flavors and slightly mineral qualities of its fine European relatives. Dry enough to complement any seafood or a mild,
nutty cheese, this is Riesling to match with dinner. $9.99

A Real New York Housewife!

It was a fine evening for a Happy Hour on Fulton's sidewalk cafe last night.

Here is Betty portraying her self as the Real New York  Housewife, Sonia Morgan.  Miss Gertie Vanderbilt Whitney was standing in for Ms Morgan's "elderly dog".

It was a stretch for Gertie being only 16 months old,  but I think this pup pulled it off!

Signing  off .. One more Cava Please!

Betty and Willma Kardashian ?

Thanks To Friends Eat

Oyster $1 Oysters in NYC
MANHATTAN

Fulton: This one is a double whammy – $1 oysters and $0.50 cent clams. With all the money you’re saving, you’ll be able to hit up Per Se in no time. (I heard about this one from Wilma & Betty).
205 East 75th Street on the Upper East Side.

City Lobster: Make sure to head over early. City Lobster offers ½ dozen oysters and a pint of beer for only $12 during happy hour, AND 99¢ oysters at the bar. 121 West 49th Street in the Theater District.

Essex: How does $1 oysters all night (Sun-Fri) sound? Pretty good right? How about $5 drinks to go along with those oysters? Yup – that sounds better. 120 Essex Street on the Lower East Side.

Fish: You may be “breaking” the bank here. These are not technically $1 oysters…they’re $1.25. Either way, Fish deserves to make this list since they serve all you can eat Maryland blue crabs for $21.95. 280 Bleecker Street in the West Village.

The Mermaid Inn by Melissa Hom $1 Oysters in NYC
Mermaid Inn: Oysters range from $1-$1.75 from 5:30-7pm. There are three locations (Greenwich Village, East Village, Upper West Side), so you can calm your craving almost anywhere in town. If you hit up the Greenwich Village location, make sure to order a fresca. It’s not on the menu, but it’s one of the best cocktails in town.
Millesime: Laurent Manrique’s NYC flagship serves blue point oysters for $1 Monday-Friday from 5:30pm-8pm. Their wine list is quite approachable and if you get lucky, you’ll be there on one of the nights they have live music. Talk about romance! 92 Madison Ave in the NoMad neighborhood of NYC.
Salt Bar:  If you’re looking for oystres in LES, Salt bar offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, a great venue for $1 oysters (which are served until 8pm). 29 Clinton Street.
